THOUGHT EXPERIMENT COMPETITION
Dear All,

Eton’s new philosophy magazine, The Agathon, is now accepting submissions for its

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT COMPETITION

If you’ve ever wanted to put someone in a position of extreme moral ambiguity, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE.

Deadline: May 17th

Definition: a thought experiment is a device of the imagination used to determine the ethical viability of different outcomes (a famous example would be the ‘Trolley Problem’)

Details:
Design your own thought experiment (keep it simple!)
Write a short summary of it and explain the issues it hopes to address
You can also submit an illustration to publish with your thought experiment to really bring it to life
Email your entries to Agathon@etoncollege.org.uk

To get you started, you can find some examples here
